Greetings, friends,

I'm seeking any information about minutes of early sessions of the United Sacred Harp Musical Association. The convention first appears in the "big minutes," then titled Minutes: Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee Sacred Harp Singings in 1955. I haven't checked exhaustively, but it looks to me like the convention continued the practice of submitting minutes for publication in what is now Sacred Harp Singings: Minutes and Directory through to the present.

Like many venerable conventions, earlier in its history the United published its own minutes pamphlet. Richard DeLong was in possession of photocopies of the minutes from 1921 and 1925. Roma Rice has the actual pamphlet from 1933, originally the possession of her grandfather. I have a pamphlet from 1939, given to me by Judy Jones Greene, formerly her father's.

Have any of you encountered copies from any other years? Or have you seen minutes from the United included in any other (minutes) publications?

Many thanks for any information you can share.

All best,
Jesse
