Palo Alto World Music Day went well. We had about 15 singers. We were under a roof, so we sounded great, plus we were out of the hot sun (temp. hit 104 today).
We had modest audiences. But at least 2 people had the "I have to do this!!!" reaction. And one woman had tears streaming down her cheeks while we sang 159. We sang 56b for Susan F. who couldn't join us due to foot problems, and we sang 347 for Paul K.'s mom who died Friday.
If we do this again, it might be worth having the equivalent of a registration table, with someone to answer questions, distribute information cards, and pass out loaners.
Overall, a good singing, and good exposure for Bay Area Sacred Harp. Thanks to Peter R. for organizing, and all the singers who made it on this blazing hot day!
