Reunion in Makassar on 13 Nov

Dear friends,

Last night we had a farewell dinner for Yasu at Matsui san Guest House in Makassar. It's really a nice dinner and we enjoy the evening as one big family. Yusran came with his wife and children, Anna, Armin, and me also came with my husband and my baby. We were chatting, talking, joking and laughing during the dinner. So happy that we all are still keep in touch and have good relation. After the oishii dinner, Yasu had a surprise bday cake for my baby who turn to 1 year old last night. 

We wish you all were there last night.. It has been more than 8 years after our FASID. 

I hope you all have a great life and career and always in good health.

I attached the picture from last night reunion. 

And I would like to congrats Yasu for his good work in Ambon (he speaks bahasa Indonesia now !, well done, Yasu) and wish him good luck in new placement in Ethiopia. Thank you very much Yasu for being a great host for us and for the bday cake. Send my regards to your lovely wife and children. Hope to see you again someday.

Minna san, if you happen come to visit Makassar, Indonesia..please let us know.

Hi All,

I would share two important finding from the night.

 

1. Our friends in Makassar have successful careers.

Nyoman is working for JICA now.

Yus is a Principal of language school.

Anna earns highest wage as a governemnt officer.

Putri is a future professor, staying near the pole.

Then, Armin is spending enviable life as a professional photografer.

 

2. ML is out of fashion.

Armin did not know that I invited dinner several times through ML and email because he checks only facebook.

I got so many friends in facebook within one night.

But i still do not know how to use it properly...

 

Friends in Japan,

Let us have another reunion in Tokyo in December.

I think it must be possible if we use facebook to deceide the date and venue, Miwa!?

I just checked this email account, and I am so sorry for late response.

As you may know, usually we, the Indonesian participants, will act as your host for any reunion occasion in Makassar.

And, several times we had met with Yasu and families during his placement in Indonesia.

Meeting you all, just like meeting our extended relatives.

So, during the last reunion, everyone came with their husband/wife, and children,

only me and Anna came alone, but of course Anna's husband came to pick her up after the dinner.

LOL.

Yasu, mada-mada jouzu yo, still learning the photography.

I just it for my own psychological therapy.

But some of my photo-works had been displayed abroad, such as Bangladesh, Australia, and Philippines.

And it is not a certain measurement that I'm professional one.

Sugihara-san, o-hisashiburi desune.

Maybe last year, I met Yoshida Hidemi, and she said that she also worked at FASID before moving to Hosei Daigaku, and she sat next to you in the office.

At that time, Agnes-sensei asked me to accompany some students to Tana Toraja.

She was so pleased to heard that I participated in FWP, then became coordinator for some last FWPs.

And now, I am staying in Jogja, helping some researches and audio-visual programs for INSIST,

and everyday I can talk with Roem-san.

Btw, if I am not mistaken, Risa had said to me that she will be in Jakarta for this December for her job.

But I am not sure if it is in this December or not.
