Hi everybody, I am so glad this mailing list back to live and I am also very agree with Armin, it’s time for us to share what we have been through after FASID Fieldwork.
Btw, as I told you before little bit from my previous email that now I am going to proceed my study abroad for master degree, and since I got the scholarship from Ford Foundation (IFP) I must stay in Jakarta for 6 months to prepare for it (English Course, Counsulation, etc). And I have one of my desire subject, which in Sussex University (International Development Studies-IDS, United Kingdom) for MA in Participation, Power and Social Change. I really like this subject, beside it related to my work experiences, also because this is a combine program of coursework and work-based learning (first 3 months for coursework in university, 12 months for work-based learning and last 3 months for writing synthesis paper). As for the TOEFL, I already fulfilled it the score requirement. But in order to get acceptence letter from the University, I must provide myself with initial letter of support from the host organisation that I will be work with later. My deadline for submitting the application letter is at the middle of December. I have plan to have work-based learning from NGO in Nepal or Thailand or UK, perhaps first 3 months in Nepal or Thailand and next 6 months in UK (specially in Sussex, Brighton, UK).
Sugihara san, Suwanne san, Risa san, Akiko san, Tamaki san, or anybody who has been involved or get acquainted with NGOs with focussing on Development or Youth Empowerment, or Education in Nepal or Thailand or UK, I need your help to introduce or connect me to the contact person of the NGOs . Or if you have any info where do you think will be the good place (NGOs) for me to do my work-based learning, please inform me. I hope I can meet the requirements before deadline.
Armin also will coming to Jakarta soon. I will have small reunion with him, hehehe, I met him everyday in Makassar, but since I stay in Jakarta for the moment, it is like a reunion for me. And if anybody will be in Jakarta during November 2008 until April 2009, let have reunion again. Just let me know, my address and mobile phone are below.

| Anna, congratulation for the scholarship, and well done with your career. Hi Suwannee, currently I'm in Bangkok, in Student Christian Centre, on 328/1 Phayathai, Thanon Phetburi, Ratchathewi, Bangkok. I have arrived since Saturday 15 Nov. It is a nice city, so many foods along the sidewalk. and the taste was delicious. I hope we could have a reunion soon. Since I have a tight schedulle, I have only free time on Sunday 23 Nov. Maybe we could meet at that free time. I really wish you could show me some of the peculiar things or sites in Bangkok. Since I didn't bring my cellphone, maybe you could give me your contact. I look forward to see you soon. Regards, mayong Febi Yonesta Public Defender The Jakarta Legal Aid Institute (LBH Jakarta) Jl. I have just returned from a trip to a town 200km west of Dar es Salaam.
Congraturations! It is great that you were selected to a grantee!
A few years back, I met several staff of ADRA Nepal. ADRA is an organization of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. They were working with Management Sciences for Heath (MSH), a Boston based NGO in health management, to introduce 'Leadership' skills to community-based groups.
I do not have a close contact, but if you are interested in their work, I recommend you to contact the representative of ADRA Nepal:
Ms. Chantelle Allen chantel...@adranepal.com

In India, though you are not asking about it, SOMNEED, a Japan-based NGO called is working with small-scale female entrepreneurs groups. Mr. Tomoaki Wada visited Makassar several times, so you may have known his group. I do not have Wada-san's contact, but Matsui-san might have. Or alternatively, you might want to contact SOMNEED at:

As for Thailand and UK, I need to turn to other members of the ML. Anyone familiar with groups/organizations in the two countries?
