I recently received a couple of emails from people interested in
buying the skis I have posted on the Masters website. From the
message, it is easy to tell that they were sent from a foreigner,
perhaps outside the US. Just wondering if anyone else has sold
anything that they posted on the website and if so, did you have any
problems and did you come across anything that sounded like this?

yes, some other folks have had the same experience (including me).
The spammer/scammers troll the web looking for this sort of thing.

So if the address or message looks a bit "off", I recommend you ignore
it - and do NOT respond! It's often pretty obvious (typos, fractured
grammar, etc), though some of these phishing schemes can look pretty
legit. In any case, it's best to apply a "common sense" filter to any
email inquiries to assess whether it sounds legit, someone you know or
plausibly coming from a skier/racer who'd actually be interested. By
all means be suspicious of foreign addresses - at least until masters
racing takes off in Nigeria!
