India Missions Update

Dear friends,

 

Our Missions team is 3 days away from departing to India.  And as the days, hours, and minutes come closer the privilege of being sent by so many brings greater encouragement.  For that reason I wanted to express my humble gratitude to each of you.  The strength of a community’s reinforcement is truly a remarkable gift from our Lord.

 

The team has spent the past 3 months training, praying, and reading God’s Word.  And although there are challenges to be faced, we have peace in the capabilities of our God.  Each of us has prepared a message and a craft to share with the kids.  My message will cover Joshua 1:1-9 where God's faithfulness remains Joshua's strength as he enters the promised land.  And similarly, we believe in God Immanuel who will be with us to strengthen and encourage.

And on behalf of our missions team, we want to "Thank You".  Without your prayers and financial support we could not be where we are today.  The ceaseless prayers and financial generosity have blessed us beyond words.  For those of you unaware, a month ago our team was struggling to raise the $25,000 but as of today our Fundraising has reached $30,089.99.  Which will cover both the cost of the trip and all supplies.  With us we will bring books, craft supplies, board games, and clothing.  Even the personal clothing I will pack will be left behind for orphans to wear. 

And as I mentioned earlier, each of your prayers has made an impact, so our team asks that you will continue to journey with us through prayer.  We have witnessed tremendous support and  can sense hundreds coming with us to witness, so please continue to do so and lift up the attached prayer requests.

 

If you are able, there will be a short send-off service at Hanmee Presbyterian Church (1149 W. Bloomingdale Road, Itasca, IL 60143) at 3:00pm, or you can meet us at O'Hare Airport, Terminal 5 (Ethihad Airways) at 5:00pm.  We will be returning on Sunday, January 27th at O'Hare Airport, Terminal 5 (Ethihad Airways flight # EY-0151) at 3:30pm.

Thanks for sharing this with us Nahmz + Mike! Sorry I didnt reply sooner, but hope you guys had a blessing time in India :) So amazing how God provides the funds to make things like this happen! Please send a post mission trip email whenever you can.. Can't wait to hear all about it :) :) Praise God who works in all corners of the earth. let's all remember to keep praying for Kyeon + his team as well since they've recently gone to India as well!

as for everyone else... any updates?! I will be coming back to the states in JUNE (t-minus: 5 months wow) so we should have another reunion then :] miss ya'll.
