Kenya Update!!!

Habari!!! (Hi!!!)

Sorry guys I know that this update is pretty late, but I wanted to fill you guys in on how the trip went. I think I've had a good amount of time to reflect and soak in the trip these past couple weeks, so I feel much better about sending this update now even if it was a bit late. First, of all I just want to thank you guys for all your prayers and support! I really do believe that God used this trip to really speak to me at a much needed/critical time in my life and your prayers were definitely felt!

I will do my best to keep this relatively short and enjoyable to read!

Here is a brief multimedia timeline of the trip!!!

 

Spiritual Battle - Bus getting stuck before our first ministry location (Mt. Elgon). God came through for us as local villagers helped pull the bus out with tractors!

Mt. Elgon - This place was beautiful! To my left is Newton (my translator) and we partnered in house to house evangelism, which was one of the ministries that our team took part in.

We even had the privilege to baptize some of the natives!

Despite all the different ministries one of the best things we could do for them was to pray!

We had a fairly large team (this isn't even all of them) because we had a team from Nairobi join us for the entire duration of the trip!

As I have had some time to reflection this trip, I"m overwhelmed by a sense of hope for this upcoming year. God has increased my heart for the lost and a sense of responsibility for doing my part for His kingdom! I went into this trip expecting new profound revelations, but God convicted me through this trip that my problem isn't ignorance or a lack of revelations/convictions, but a lack of obedience to His word. I'm convinced that if I want to be a man of God I need to be a man of His Word obeying EVERYTHING in it!

Luke 9:23 - Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." 

Please pray that I would learn how to deny myself and obey ALL of God's word!
