Good story about Neotame in the Daily Kos.

"The food labeling requirements required for aspartame have now been
dropped for Neotame, and no one is clearwhy this was allowed to
happen."

here's my take on why this was allowed to happen, and you don't need a
fancy, byzantine conspiracy theory to explain it:

it's because corporations have so thoroughly corrupted all levels of
government, you can say that corporation and state are essentially
merged.

just look at who was recently appointed to a high post at the FDA...

I can't see myself ever getting behind the "USDA Organic" brand in
what's left of my lifetime.

hmm...sounds like the fox watching the henhouse. How is that supposed
to work?

How's that new party you have been working on? Getting any traction?

I have heard this before. Seems some guy named Dave who grows garlic
or something said something similar recently.

Bobby, this is a long, hard fight. It just seems that too many
people are willing to listen to what the corporate media tells them.
On top of that, these substances, aspartame not the least of which,
harm people's brains such that they don't have the ability to think
things out for themselves. Tyrrany is frightening, because it can
reach to so many levels.

Hope to see you at the Food Fair this Thursday.
