FSA Hiring for Urban Area Outreach Coordinator

FSA is looking to hire someone to promote and facilitate access to FSA programs and loans to new and beginning farmers, urban farmers and underserved participants of farmers markets. The new Outreach Coordinator (Urban Areas) position  located in Brooklyn, New York  would involve planning, developing, and implementing outreach and public affairs programs for urban farmers, beginning farmers and farmers who attend farmers markets in the boroughs of New York along with the counties of Westchester, Rockland, Nassau and Suffolk.

Earlier this year, FSA Administrator Val Dolcini toured urban farms in New York City to see how urban agriculture positively impacts communities. The tours included stops at La Familia Verde Farmers Market, Brooklyn Grange Rooftop Farm, John Bowne High School, Red Hook Community Farm, Oko Farms and Edenworks. Learn more or apply for the position
