It turns out Maltego has a "Master Password" screen that you need to type password in. But that window opens behind load screen for some reason, and you can't click on it or move loading screen to reveal it. You can also see this screen pop up in front of loading screen if you try to restart system or logout. But that shuts down Maltego.
U can try experimenting with resolution.Set low res, launch maltego, when window sign appears on workspace switcher- set to higher res. Then try adjusting window size & drag it out of the splashscreen area.
I installed Maltego from Paterva's website and it successfully installed. Now, how do I run it? I typed "maltego" on the terminal a zillion times and it comes back with "command not found". I tried entering "sudo apt-get install maltego" and get back with "maltego is already the newest version". There is no icon on the desktop or applications menu, but the Ubuntu Software Center reports that it was successfully installed. What do I do??
I am creating a maltego transform in Python that will be creating a lot of entities. I am running into an issue where the transform is not adding all of the entities to the graph. I am using the paid version of maltego, so that is not the issue.
When I run the transform, only 12 entities are created and linked. I need to run the transform again to get the 13th entity. The entity that is skipped changes each time. If I get rid of one of the lines and have only 12, it works as expected.
