We will have Farm Hack Organizing Committee meeting this coming Wednesday. If you are on this email list, you have expressed interest in Farm Hack organizing. I know a few of you are currently out of town. If you cannot attend this meeting, we will take notes and post them to this Google Group.
Wednesday Feb 6th - Farm Hack Organizing Meeting
6:30pm
Meet up by the tables next to The Left Handed Cook
***We plan to nail down the date and identify/distribute event tasks for the Minneapolis Farm Hack at the meeting.***
When explaining Farm Hack to folks, feel free to use this draft language - I'd like to develop the final event promotional language at our meeting:
Farm Hack Minneapolis - Bike powered innovations for urban agriculture
Farm Hack is an open source design forum where people can bring/build their ideas for tools and innovations that apply to small scale agriculture. Farm Hack is a brainchild of The Greenhorns, a leader in the young farmer movement. The theme for the Minneapolis Farm Hack is bike powered innovations. (think bike powered honey extractor, root washers, trailers, cultivators, seed grinders, water pumps etc.) It's a day of working on pedal power solutions for urban ag, including demonstration, small group design charettes, community building and bike tool skills. It's a free event open to everyone.
We have not sealed the deal but are hoping to have Farm Hack at the
Hack Factory!
**Please take the
Doodle Poll for future meeting times.
Thank you for your interest and we look forward to the meeting,
Warm regards,
Lindsay Rebhan and Kristy Allen
