Hi ladies and gents - we are switching the location for this Thursday's meeting to Mosaic Cafe, 6:30pm

Mosaic Cafe
3019 Minnehaha Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55406

The Honey House is not ready for debut - soon. If you haven't checked out their Revive the Hive Kickstarter, please do.

See you Thursday!

p.s. We got the Nice Ride sorbet bike for the event - oooh honey sorbet??? Design-wise a trike with a 3rd wheel just to propel the tool seems like an good idea....

Hey All..

so it looks like we are 'sold out'  (sorry, I didn't see that before putting the word out there more).. but I am getting word that several urban farmers never got themselves registered.. since they are part of a core group we will need there, should I just tell them to come?!

stefan..

There is no better feeling than a packed house.  Communities are forged by critical mass.

When organizing farm hack Iowa, we had 45 turn out the first day and thought it was a huge turnout (our 1hr radius population is ~250K)

I understand the concerns about venue, size, but to have an urban center as huge as Minneapolis...and then turn people away?

Not everyone who RSVPs will attend.

Allow for overflow, even if those satellite events are just coffee shop conversation of passionate people.

All urban farmers are welcome. I am struggling with capping the event but lesson learned here about event space. We have 80 registered, not including organizers and some farmers.

I will open a few more spots up because a few folks who rsvp'd from Duluth just emailed saying they can't come now.....

I think we've got something pretty good happening here.  :)
See ya tonight!

I let the farmers know they are definitely welcome to attend.. and yes, we will have no-shows.. again, the biggest concern here is that FreeWheel is a business and they will be open that day, so just trying to be respectful of their needs as well.. but well said Grant..
