Final meeting before the event - we went over how the event is going to flow, "set the table for the party" so to say and are ready to enjoy this!

Attendees: Emily Duma, Stefan Meyer, Kristy Allen, Lindsay Rebhan, Robin Lee, Riley Harrison, Kirk Marschel

Riley from the Hack Factory joined us. They are excited to help out at the event, promote Minnefair and host a Farm Hack at their site for a hack/build day. Awesome.
  • Emily's roomates will pick up the Peace Coffee, March 21st during the day at Peace Coffee office. 10lbs. Ask for Angelica.
  • Robin will pick up the sandwiches the day of the event, at Gigi's Cafe. 36th and Bryant, 822 W. 36th St.
  • Monica from Dinner on the Farm is donating compostable plates. She will bring them.
  • Kirk is going to do some video taping. Lindsay will take pictures. Hopefully other will document in some form as well.
  • Kristy/Mario will MC the first half of the day, Stefan will MC the second half of the day.
Welcome table
Robin, Lindsay and Stefan will be at a welcome table. If someone registered check off list, if not have sign up sheets. If they registered, they get a bee stamp which gets them a sandwich. Duck tape name tags!!  ;)

Lunch
MC invite everyone to take a lunch break at 12:15, introduce the Hack Factory representative to speak, remind those with a bee stamp to pick up their sandwich by the big room. Others may find food at the Bike Center counter or Midtown Global Market.

Prototypes

It looks like we will have the honey extractor, bike truck, ice cream bike, blender bike and cargo bike for demo. More bike mechanics will be on hand, from Hub and Calhoun Cycle. WOOT. Thank you Kristy for your work on this.

Next Farm Hack:
There was a lot of energy at the end of the meeting to finalize a date for the next farm hack. July 20th was the main suggestion. We know the next Minneapolis one would be hosted at The Hack Factory. This date needs to be floated by groups, people, PRI, Hack Factory etc. Questions on Sat or Sun. Would like it tied to a Twin Cities urban farm tour.

We want to have a major call to action at the end of the event - it's time to innovate and build for small scale agriculture.

See you on Saturday!!!
