Hi all,

If you are remotely interested in Food Security, Conservation, Afforestation and such one of the names that definitely crops up is Permaculture. Agriculture was a huge mistake and is responsible for land degradation, social and gender inequalities, health issues (grains are not the best food for our consumption and cash crops are a bane). So how do we reverse this mistake and find a balance between our current lives and hunter gatherer world. Permaculture is a philosophy changing this paradigm. For those interested this is a good opportunity at a place with 80% green cover, Sirsi.

Please make the best of this opportunity! :-)

thx,
mynk

MARK GARRETT

Permaculture design consultant Mark Garret is from Australia but lives mostly in Bali. He is passionate about living harmoniously with nature and dedicated to achieving low cost, sustainable eco systems that benefit both the planet and the people who live and work in them. Mark’s own permaculture teacher was the legendary Bill Mollison.

By observing nature and understanding how it operates, he creates low carbon, green systems
where energy is conserved by removing the need for fossil fuel, waste is turned into a useful
resource, water is saved and re-used, vital minerals and nutrients in the soil are naturally
regenerated and pests are controlled without using harmful chemicals.

These principles are the basic building blocks of Permaculture and Mark Garrett has been
applying them to every project he has designed for more than 20 years.
