Beejotsav is an attempt to conserve Indigenous seeds. It is an attempt to directly connect the consumers and
producers as a part of the effort for sustainable and exploitation-free society.
We will get to visit different stalls promoting ‘Seeds and Farm-Produce’, `Processed Organic
Products’, ‘Sustainable Lifestyle Products’, ‘Urban Waste Management’, ‘Terrace Gardening’,
‘Forest Produce’, ‘Khadi’ etc.

15th March Friday 2019
Morning 10 am to 1 pm(Pre Inaugural Session):
*Soil conservation , Water Scarcity , Global warming ,other climate changes and G. M. seeds
* Progress of Organic Farming in Maharashtra and Government policies about Organic Farming.

ASHA (Alliance for Sustainable and Holistic Agriculture) Kisan Swaraj Maharashtra State Meeting
The ASHA meeting will aim to identify specific areas of work to be taken forward in Maharashtra Workshop starting at 10 am, registration starting at 9:30 am
ASHA's 4 pillars on which topics will be raised in the workshop to identify in tackle will include themes on -
1)Income security for all farm households, so that producers find viability and dignity in their profession, and are
not forced to leave agriculture out of distress.
2)Ecologically sustainable farming systems, to preserve productive natural resources so that
livelihoods can be sustained.
(3)People's control over resources such as land, water, forests, seed and knowledge as a key to viable
and sustainable livelihoods
4)Non‐toxic, diverse, nutritious and adequate food for all .
To take forward this agenda, after years of work as a national network, ASHA's state chapters are being
setup in many states including in Maharashtra.
