Hi, Kerem!

I'm also going through a process to select a company or more for UI
design and front-end dvlp.

Our current structure is to have the backend team located in Utah. As
anybody will pbly tell, developers in the Valley are highly (and
unjustifiably) expensive and also hard to find. That's why most
companies have developing teams in other parts of the country.

For the project I'm looking to undertake I want to outsource even
further, targeting India and Eastern Europe - partly because they're
cheaper but also because they tend to work a lot faster. Eastern
Europe, I'd say, but don't quote me on that, is even more dynamic,
whereas India is better at big (data) projects that they can develop
almost independently after doing some intense preliminary specs work.

I'd highly recommend you check out this Romanian company - Lateral -
they've been doing quite impressive stuff for companies in the Valley,
such as the mobile platform for TravelZoo, which is a $100 million
turnover company. Lateral's founder now actually works with TravelZoo
as VP of Product so he's around to meet when he's not travelling. I'm
definitely considering them for my project but I also want to get
other quotes to find the best candidate. Have a look at their work:
http://www.lateral-inc.com/showcase/our-work/

I am also checking out this Indian company - Persistent Systems - they
did some work for SalesForce. They're just a lead, don't know much
about them at this point.

If during these days you get more recommendations of web (or mobile)
dvlp companies, I'd appreciate it if you let me know before you
compile that document (to save time). A simple link will be enough.

I will in turn keep you posted with what I find out.

Tx and good luck!
Dragos
