my notes from interviews yesterday and today are attached. we had already consolidated all our notes from the previous dates in Brendan's computer; he will also add his notes to these, so we'll have everything summarized.

overall:

  • the trip was very productive. i learned more over the last 3-4 days than i did during my internship this summer.
  • i'd put the feedback from farmers between encouraging and very encouraging. there is a real need for what we are doing among the large farms and they are ready to pay real money for solutions ($1,000-$10,000+). the question comes down to: how many of these 500+ acre commodity crop growers are there in the U.S.
  • Shonda is an amazing woman. we are very lucky to know her.
  • Clarksdale is hot as shit; has some of the most friendly and kind people and they fry everything that can be fried.
I'm at nest tomorrow morning/early afternoon; then will come to campus.

/k
