Final score card posted!

Sorry it's taken me awhile guys, but the final score card for 2007 is
now posted. I'm happy to announce this year's winning team....The
Axis of Eaters with 1166.5 points! They had an amazing year, with no
small thanks to their VIP Joey Chestnut. Together, their team ate
2118.25 units of food and 201.04 pounds of food. They broke 13
records, established 3 new ones, and ate their personal best 25
times. It was a pretty incredible year.

A hearty congratulations to The Manitoba Meatsweats who make a valiant
effort for first place and only missed it by about 80 points. It
wasn't for lack of spirit though, as their team buried the competition
in team bonus sign points, earning 195 of them.

In third place, the Hungry Hooligans with 858 points, a good portion
of which belong to Pat Bertoletti, who only trailed Joey by 40 points
overall.

Fourth and Fifth place go to the Gorgeous Guzzlers and Team PAIN,
respectively. Only 19 points separated the two teams, and with the
Guzzlers on fire with their fierce ladies and PAIN hurting from
Kobayashi's tough year, it was a very close game.

3rd: Hungry Hooligans (858 points)
4th: Gorgeous Guzzlers (569.5 points)
5th: Team PAIN (550.5 points)

While I really enjoyed doing the Fantasy Eating in 2007, I don't think
I'll be able to head it up this year due to a much busier schedule.
If anyone's interested in taking it over, let me know. I think it's
really fun to have this big score card at the end of the year and it
would be a shame to lose out on new teams, new team logos, the fierce
rivalry... See? I miss it already.
