I suspect that's because some players sat back and analyzed which
ways were "better" saw the big advantages to Nature in being able
to produce resources without cities for only an investment of $300
plus the utter lack of benefits to Rui without considerable
investment. The ones who looked at the math all picked nature. The
ones who didn't look--like yourself--either because they weren't
interested or just figured to play the game and see what
happened--none of them chose anything. So basically early one had
3 Natures and one Warrior (which is basically just a weaker
version of Nature)
