To all citizens of the Pan-Sentient League:

The horrible plague known as "The Blue Death", "The Zombie Plague", and "Strain TVC-15" now threatens not only out society, but our very existence. As such, a number of drastic steps have been deemed necessary in order to ensure our continued survival:

1. Effective at once, ALL civilian space traffic is grounded. Any civilian ships intercepted in transit by our patrols will be ordered into quarantine. Failure to comply with this order will result in the destruction of the vessel. There will be no exceptions.

2. Military space traffic will be very tightly regulated and quarantines pursuant to General Order 3212-0038587-B.

3. All planetary movement of civilian population is halted. Safe zones and "Red" zones will be established and enforced by the military. Movement between safe zones is by permit and inspection ONLY. New outbreaks will be cordoned off. Should containment fail, and and all force necessary to contain it is authorizes, up to and including the release of nuclear weapons, pertinant to General Order 3212-0038599-A

4, All private production is hereby nationalized for the duration fo the emergency.Basic housing, food, and healthcare stipends will continue to be issued, but all other production production will go toward the containment, eradication, and cure of this vile disease.

5. These orders will remain in effect until a cure and/or vaccine has been discovered and is in mass production. At that time, these orders will be rescinded.

6. For further details on these orders, known safe and red zones, and all other matters relating to the plague, citizens should connect to the official government site on the InfoNet using the search term "TVC-15".

Signed, for the Senate and Council:

Akrik Churrr, Prime Minister
Kree Shtak'k, First Speaker
Cruuk Mik, Roko 1st Council-Being
Jonas Zhan, Merican 1st Council-Being
She-Liss Sh'tar, Zama 1st Council-Being
Zarak Grund, Morian 1st Council-Being

If we Iron Men were within range of you, we could easily take care of your race in your hour of need, as this disease clearly only effects organic beings.

Such a pity to see a vast waste of potential variety.

The need to preserve life, and unlock it's genetic secrets is of paramount import. Indeed it is the sacred duty of all living beings! Only through preservation and study of divergent life forms can we unlock the secrets of the Spark of Divinity. This plauge seems a desecration of those genetic secrets, an obomination that leaves the subject genetically dead, but living nonetheless. We if the Brotherhood applaude the PSL's efforts of trying to preserve the genetic code of their race. If we where able to come to your aid we would do so, at the least we could Genetically Sequence your race(s) and archive them, and when the Brotherhood unlocks the full Spark of Divinity and ascend to our true Anunnaki forms we could re write your race into the genetic structure of the cosmos.

Perhaps beaming your celestial position into deep space would help us locate you, so our aid can reach you?

Interesting, we find genes to be merely random collections of goop.  The only value they have is the ability to create a being that thinks differently, such variety adds texture and content to the web of consciousness, it is a shame when beings are encountered that must be deleted.

We suspect that not all members of the Pan-Sentient League are bad life, hence thoughts of their demise darken the mood of many of our processors.  We shall expend some energy contemplating whether or not androids can truly mourn for the loss of organics, or if we just regret that they were unable to be recorded and reconstructed as immortal AI's...

The Brotherhood finds an interesting irregularity in the logic program. If you rely on organics as a model does not that require you to study and preserve? Would not you have an imperative to watch the evolution of Organics to model your own evolution? Therefore extermination should botther you.

Besides that issue, as an android who admittedly uses organics for ”reconstruction”, rather than a purely cybernetic race, again preservation if organics should be a prime function.

I would posit that both our positions are similar. We desire preservation of life to genetically sequence it, and alter our own genetics to achieve ascension. While you desire to study unique body mechanics, and alter your own forms, or to construct more units. To that end should we meet in time to come to the aid of the PSL I say we divert attention to that effort. We can discuss religion and prime programming as well. We find it fascinating that the Anunnaki created a race that evolved such and are most interested to see if your conscious  program contains a spark sequence. We have never considered this, and it merits much thinking.

While the PSL appreciates the offers of aid, we feel very strongly that no race with even a slight organic component should enter PSL space at this time - the plague is incredibly virulent.

As for religion, we practice total freedom of religion in the PSL. However, no religious beliefs nor any type of eugenics or breeding programs may involve any form of coercion - both religious beliefs and reproductive practices are at the sole discretion of the individual member races of the PSL, as per Articles 3 and 16 of the PSL Charter.

The Iron Men have no organic components.  We do allow some organics to live among us and would not allow any of them to come in contact with your race.  We are fascinated by the thought of a virus that can kill it's host and then reanimate the body.  We could do exactly the same thing of course, but find little purpose to it (why install a perfectly good AI in a decaying organic prison?).

As to matters of religion, while we have found no evidence of the existence of a greater being, we can postulate the possibility of a life form with capabilities beyond our current comprehension.  Such a being could qualify as a "God" and while we fail to comprehend why one would desire to be blindly worshipped, it is quite possible that the rules such a being created for lesser forms to interact with it may in fact match up with some of the forms of religion we have studied.

I am the only God.  (I want this experiment/interaction to be uncontaminated by any other beings interference).
Do not kill.               (It messes with my plans)
Do not lie.               (It wastes my time).
Respect your elders.  (I have invested time in them and need them to fulfill their purpose).
Many other codes like this seem to exist and would indeed present ideal behavior for test subjects.

If we Iron Men ever encounter any such beings we will of course learn it's rules for successful interaction and create a proper program to allow us to do so.

The scientists of the orion syndicate would love to be able to get there hands on a sample of this virus to study it for what it does. and would most likely be willing to invest some of there time working on a way to contain said virus.
