admin idea..URL

Can you change the URL at this stage?  Make it more easily cataloged and ranked by google?

It is:

Maybe change to something like:  https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!newtopic/fannie-and-freddie-message-board

https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!newtopic/fannie-and-freddie-common-and-preferred-stock

Something similar to not discriminate between classes of securities?

It would be awesome if you could do that after creating the board.  I note that i shared a link with someone and they may not think common stock holders are welcome.

If you do decide to change the URL, you might want to post the new URL for a day or so so we can all copy it before you make the change.

Alternatively, you, as admin, have everyone's registration email, so you could blast out a message to all members.

It will make it more friendly in the search results and make sure we get the eyeballs of our brethren common stock owners too.  (Despite the opinions of the other board regarding my position on the issue, I am not against the common stock LOL!)

I just looked through all the options and don't see a place to do this.

i couldn't remember from when I set it up.

It might be that when you set up a URL and begin a Group, that URL is now fixed.  Might not be able to do it.

If that doesn't work or we can't change the name, we could always buy a domain name and redirect it to the current group URL. I'd be willing to sponsor that initially.

Yes, I was able to change the group name a while ago. I did that to be more inclusive. However, nowhere to change the URL string.
