Friends,

June has been a blur. The Adventure School for Ladies, more or less, went off with out a hitch (OK, there were actually quite a few hitches—including the death and subsequent revival of this very computing machine, Anne Jr., III, but most of them were, in hindsight, all to be expected, considering.), and in the end ten Adventure Scholars from all over the US found ourselves the creators of a truly delightful comics anthology.

HAND JOB: A Labor of Love is both a document of our collective labor together in Chicago and a reflection on gender in art, media and democracy. It is also well-drawn. And, best part: freaking hilarious.

You can order it here. It's probably best to do that soon. We only printed 200 of them and they're half gone.

Later this summer, I'll be announcing official release plans for Hip Hop Apsara: Ghosts Past and Present (see the trailer here or see this for more), plus new exciting projects in the works—both journalistic and other.

For now, content yourself please with the latest Ladydrawers Truthout strips—and thanks for your Tweeting, Facebooking, and email-forwarding support. The project's gotten shout-outs from all corners lately, both respectable and less so, and that's your doing. Thanks!

Sincerely,

Anne Elizabeth Moore
