friends,

tomorrow evening my exhibition, Dismantling the Corporate State and Other Amusements, will open at the Center for Book & Paper Arts. on display will be 16 years worth of jokes about our consumerist culture, modern media, and feminism. some of this work has never been displayed publicly (Foundation For Freedom), some of it hasn't been seen in a long time (AnneZine), and most of it probably should never have been made in the first place (Operation: Pocket Full of Wishes, the Anne Elizabeth Moore Award for Excellence in Awesomeness*).

among the questions that will be answered if you visit this exhibition: what can i do to limit advertising in the US? what is the very best name for a human ever? i want to learn self-publishing, but I only read Russian. are there any resources to guide me in this endeavor? what are the rules for Class-Conscious Kickball? what might the legacy of uncreated art work look like?

such an esteemed occasion can only be marked by delicious pie. come have a slice!

Opening: 6-9 p.m. June 19, 2009

* the 2009 AEMAEA will be determined by popular vote. it is recommended that you come and cast your vote, perhaps for Laurie Jo Reynolds. for example. also: the 2009 AEMAEA is sponsored by the Cook County Board of Elections. seriously.
