the AEMAEA: nominate someone by May 26!

For the record, I know you all have better things to be doing with your time. But still.

The Anne Elizabeth Moore Award for Excellence in Awesomeness will be going this year to someone who either is or is not me, to be determined by popular vote during the run of the exhibition Dismantling the Corporate State and Other Amusements at the Center for Book & Paper Arts. 

The chances of someone winning are much higher if they are first nominated, and all nominations recorded on our site (below) received by Tuesday May 26 will be entered onto our official ballot, which will be letterpressed the following day. On a letterpress machine. We will continue to take write-in candidates throughout the run of the exhibition until our award ceremony, which will take place on August 21, 2009.

If you really want to win an award, but haven't yet, this is probably a good award for you.

The 2009 Anne Elizabeth Moore Award for Excellence in Awesomeness is sponsored by the Cook County Board of Elections. I'm not kidding.
