It seems like mediaminer.org changed their url syntax (they made some changes in 2014)
from:http://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/view_st.php/123456 (still working)
and http://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/view_ch.php/1234123/123444#fic_c

to http://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/view_st.php?id=12345
and http://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/view_ch.php?cid=123456&id=123456

If you manually change the url to the old version Fanficfare fails to retrieve the chapter.

FailedToDownload: Error downloading Chapter: http://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/view_ch.php/123456/123456! Missing required element!

Could you possibly look into this?

Thanks,

I've posted a new test version (PI version) with updates for
mediaminer.org changes:

http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3084025#post3084025

I don't read that site, so I've only spot tested a handful of stories.

Using the test version it seems to work now, but only the old URL style is recognized by it.
I'm able to workaround this, but being able to use both styles would still be nice,
specifically for bulk downloading of more than one mediaminer.org story.

Still thank you very much, especially for the fast reaction time.

It will accept new style chapter URLs:

http://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/view_ch.php?cid=123456&id=123456

But I didn't see anywhere that the new story URLs you refer to are used.
Can you show me an example on the site?

New test version posted:

It addresses the URL form from your last message, but I still haven't
seen any place where you'd get a URL like:

http://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/view_st.php?id=12345

The use of these seems pretty random. Here's one example for the
http://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/view_st.php?id=12345
url:http://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/view_st.php?id=171668&submit=View
I can get this through using the links from the authors pages.

Okay, I'll believe you. New test version posted:

http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3084025#post3084025

It addresses the URL '.../view_st.php?id=12345' form and also fixes
processing for 'kludgey text find for older mediaminer story.'

Now it seems to work perfectly, except that a line like
Converting /tmp/php2jqtvP to /dev/stdout
is added at the end of every chapter
Nonetheless great work, genius! :'-)

????

I don't see that. Nor can I imagine where FanFicFare would add that.
Can you provide a story URL that does? And what output format are you
using?
