Halloween Ride is this Sunday AM

Our last event of the year, the 4th Annual Halloween Family BIke Ride, is this Sunday AM.

The events starts with bike to bike trick or treating, a Halloween costume fashion show (no judging, just applauding), a safe ride on Mystic River paths in Somerville and Medford, play at Mystic Riverbend Park.   At the park there is the brand new McGlynn Universal Playground opened earlier this month plus we will have our collection of outdoor toys and sporting equipment.   We've built up our collection this year to expand its appeal to all ages.   Also we are repeating our rock painting and temporary tattoos stations we did at our summer ride.

Our events are meant to build community, create awareness of local safe infrastructure, and in general promote bicycling.   The events are organized by parent volunteers and a challenge to put on, please consider supporting in one of two small ways:

1) volunteer for this Sunday-the remaining spots just involve standing in a spot and directing riders which way to turn.   They are not auto crossings so those not confident in that sort of thing don't need to worry.
