River Ride June 8th

Save the date for the Family Bike Ride River Ride June 8th!

This ride will start in Somerville and explore the wonderful paths along the Mystic and Malden Rivers, including a small piece of the Northern Strand.    This is not the summer ride, this is a "bonus ride" outside of our seasonal ride formats.   It will be different in that it is about twice as long as our average ride, has a return group trip, and instead of us bringing play equipment to supplement the destination playground, we will go there at the time of an event, the GoGreen Transportation fair, which will have bike decorating, crafts, a kids bike ride around the park, tabling of many transportation organizations and food trucks.   There are also lunch options at food places near the park.

Due to length, this ride may not appeal to emerging self propelled children who don't have the option to be towed by a parent's cargo bike when they get tired.   We can take breaks as desired.   Despite the length, there are only 2 auto crossings on this ride (and 2ish blocks of quiet residential street riding at the beginning)
