Family Promise supporters and core team members,

 

Our next meeting will be at Mt. Zion Methodist Thursday at 7pm.  We are having special guests from Gwinnett Family Promise come to speak to us about the duties of the Volunteer Coordinator.  If you are a volunteer coordinator for your congregation, or even if you’re not, we encourage you to come to learn about this job that is so critical to the success of the Family Promise mission. We will also be discussing our upcoming fundraising events which are just around the corner, and we have some really good news to share, as well!  Mt Zion is at 1770 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta.

Also, I want to pass on to each of you the following: St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church is having our Ministry Fair day this Sunday and we have invited the Happy Belly Food Truck to come and feed us.  They have agreed to donate 10% of their proceeds to Family Promise of Cobb County so please come and buy your lunch there. You don’t have to participate in our Ministry Fair activities.    Their website is www.happybellytruck.com.  Their facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/HappyBellyTruck.  Looking at their wide variety of meal entrees listed, they sound like they will make for some excellent eating!  They will be there in the back near the Youth House from 11:30 to 1:30 pm, but you will need to park in the front and walk back to the truck.  Please come and support, and you will be supporting our Family Promise program, as a result!  St. Catherine’s is at 571 Holt Road in Marietta.
