Family Promise of Cobb County Team,

As you know, our FPCC is planning a big event for the weekend of November
15-17 at the St. James Episcopal parking lot. Our Events Coordinator,
Jennie Scott, has a message below asking for help to provide food for this
event. Please consider this request and let her know at
energet...@aol.com if you have any ideas, or connections to any
restaurants or grocery stores that could supply the food so that this event
can be a success.

Thanks,
Hale Sanders

Subject: Update on Box City

Dear FP Family
It takes a village, so they say. I mentioned that when we began preparing
for our "See Box City" event. I want to thank you for promoting this event
through your churches and getting your youth groups and youth ed leaders
involved.

We are just a few weeks to "showtime". We are coming up with some
interesting speakers, musicians, and planning a candlelight vigil for
Saturday evening.

One of the big pieces of this event is feeding the participants. This is
where I can use some ideas and help. First, I would like a working number
from each of you as to how many people you have signed up at the moment.
This helps us finalize menus. Second, any connections to grocery store
managers or restaurant owners would be great. Third, any churches that would
like to donate grocery gift cards, big pots of soup, boxes of granola bars
or cases of apples or bananas, that would be awesome! It's not quite the
feeding of the five thousand, but I am looking for miracles!

If one or two core team people would like to step up and head up the food
protion of this event, I would be in gratitude. Please let me know your
ideas.

Let's make this event the best it can be!
Blessings,
Jennie
