Aligning GED files with Media

I use a program on my Windows desktop PC to manage my database. I periodically update the GED file on the "Family Gem" app and copy any new photos from the Windows folder to the Android folder. Everything has always worked fine. Yesterday, however, something went wrong because many photos were disconnected! What can I do to fix everything? What's the correct method for updating GED+Media from my PC to the FamilyGem app?
