A translation to German of Family Gem would be really appreciated!
Italian is my language so it is no needed.. but German yes 100%!

The way we found for collaborative translations is Weblate.

si, dopo ho visto, che sei italiano. Probabilmente più italiano come io - sono nato e cresciuto in Germania, mio padre era Catanese, la madre è tedesca. Da 8 anni vivo in Sicilia.

Ho fatto il tradotto in tedesco (con Weblate), ma per essere sicuro voglio vedere nel App. C'è una possibilità di fare un test?

Altra domanda, sarebbe una bella idea, se è possibile di importare i contatti dove sono già nome, telefono, indirizzo ecc.

Ancora una proposta - sarebbe più facile se si può scegliere la lingua nel app :-)

Intendi importare i contatti dello smartphone per farli diventare persone in un albero di Family Gem?

Scegliere la lingua dell’app
Poter settare la lingua dall'interno dell'app mi è già stato chiesto, ma a me sembra un po' di reinventare la ruota..
Non è meglio che l’app si adatti automaticamente alla lingua del sistema operativo?

The problem to let the system choose the language is that when the system language is not available in the app it reverts to english.

Therefore the need to choose the language in some cases.

The problem to let the system choose the language is that when the system language is not available in the app it reverts to english.

From Android 7 it's possible to set multiple languages in Android settings!
That means you can have any language different from English as fallback.

For example you can set Catalan as primary language and Spanish as secondary. Family Gem has no Catalan translation (at the moment), so you will see Family Gem in Spanish.
