Dear Developer,
Google has officially mandated Android Developer Verification (ADV) across the Android ecosystem starting in 2026. To ensure your apps remain installable on all certified Android devices, please complete the registration process as soon as possible.
What happens if you don't register by the deadline?
If you do not complete identity verification and app registration before September 2026, users will be unable to install your apps on certified Android devices in the affected regions (Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand). Enforcement will expand globally from 2027 onward.
How does registration work?
- Registration is at the package name + signing key level. Apps with different package names or different signing keys must each be registered separately.
- Registration is global — you only need to register once, regardless of which country you are targeting.
How to register — choose the method that fits your distribution channel:
| Distribution Channel | Registration Method |
|---|
| Xiaomi App Store (GA) only | Android Developer Console (ADC) — manual registration required |
| Both Xiaomi App Store (GA) and Google Play | Google Play Console — Google will auto-register apps with matching GP signatures; log in to verify your status |
Note: Google's auto-registration only covers apps whose package name and signing key exactly match what is listed on Google Play. If your app uses a different signing key on GA versus GP, or if the same package name has multiple signing variants, each case must be registered separately through the appropriate channel — please review all your apps carefully.

We strongly recommend completing registration by July 2026 to allow enough time to resolve any potential review issues before the September deadline.
