I create my gecom file from my one drive account and that is where my media is stored. thus the gedcom file stores the media location as: 1 FILE C:\Users\frank\OneDrive\ANCESTRY\abcde Media\POCHE.jpg and sends the link along to Family Gem. When I go to the media secton of Family Gem the link shows but does not open the file. Any suggestions?

The first thing I would look at is incompatible file systems.  Your saved file is a JPEG file.  This is an image file.  A GEDCOM is a database written in plain text.   Every profile is a "record."  The bottom line of each record contains the link to the next one.  An image file does not contain that info.  You need to export your file again, taking care to select "Export a s a GEDCOM."  The output file will have the extension .ged.

I now have ged file created by Family Tree Maker and media files in one directory on my s26 android in a file on internal storage. Links to media appear but media does not open. Any ideas?

I haven't looked at the Help yet.  The first step was to tell the OP what a GEDCOM file looked like.  Afterwards it crossed my mind that the output screen looks more like a DOS screen, and may not be able to handle full-colour graphics. I will need to check the manual for that.
