Hi everyone,

I am writting for my Mom today (this is Aimee).  Mom feels that Dad a little better night last night.  He still feels like he didn't sleep at all, but Mom was able to sleep so he must have been more comfortable than the night before when niether of them got any sleep.  I hope that is a good sign.

Today Dad had an echocardiogram, basically an ultrasound of his heart.  We don't know the results yet, but hope they will be good.  Dialysis is scheduled for today.  They tried to do dialysis yesterday (ther regular kind, not the fancy type he got in the ICU) but he didn't tolerate it.  HIs blood pressure dropped and they had to stop it.  They think that with another day of recuperation he will tolerate it better.  Mom talked to the doctor this morning, and wasn't told much other than Dad is very lucky, most people who need CPR in or out of the hospital do not survive.  This we know and are grateful for, but at this point are more concerned about the future.

We are expecting more snow today.  It is the third snow storm since we got here.  Now that Mom is staying in the hospital I don't like them.  It makes it hard for me to get down there and be there if she needs me.  Of course she thinks that she dosen't need anything and that I shouldn't worry - which or course I do.

Keep praying for Dad, and we will let you know of his progress.

Love to all,
Aimee
