We just wanted to let you know that we have gotten the unofficial results of the Falmouth Town Council race:
Caleb Hemphill 1322
Charlie McBrady 1272
Chris Orestis 1077
Erin Mancini 970
This is just terrific news - huge congrats to our friend Charlie (and also Caleb)! Congrats also to Erin Mancini on running a fantastic first race - although we wish we were calling her Councilor Mancini, we know we will see Erin again in future races!
After many of the disgraceful personal attacks made by Chris Orestis (including, despicably, calling the workplaces of at least two people who disagreed with him politically), not to mention his reigning from afar (missing at least 12 meetings and some very important votes), his distaste of Falmouth businesses and his propensity to spend other people's money, we are also thrilled to be seeing this embarrassment leave.
We hope this is the dawn of a new age of civility on the Town Council and a new era of sensible spending. It's a great night!
