Mushroom kingdom moon 42. HAT-AND-SEEK: MUSHROOM KINGDOM

I didn’t know what Bonneter is. So I did a dictionary definition. That
didn’t help. So I googled it. It’s a hat character in the game. So I
went to the area but I don’t see the Bonneter.

This video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RdokQoIuj0) shows a guy in
an area between 3 trees. I went there but he’s not there.

So I googled “why can’t I get moon 42? I don’t see the
Bonneter”. The first link I found gave a good lead.

And then another guy replied to the OP saying that maybe I need to
finish the Peach quest first.

the link above explains where to find peach in each of the kingdoms.

Checking my moon list, I already had a few of these done. Still need to
get Cascade and a few others.

for Sand kingdom, I couldn’t get on top of the hovering reverse
pyramid. So I found a video
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlOh6c2z1p4) showing how to do it.

This gave me Sand kingdom moon 69.

(At the top of the pyramid I got another moon.)

(And as I was leaving I noticed another moon on top of a building-like
structure.)

Done.

For Lake kingdom, peach was easy to find. That gave me moon 33.

Done.

For Wooded kingdom, peach was also easy to find. That gave me moon 54.

Done.

For Cloud kingdom, peach was easy to find again. That’s moon 2.

Done.

Since I’m already in Cloud kingdom I figured I’d get the only other
moon.

This one was like the Mario picture matching game. I got 95 points.
That’s moon 1.

Done.

For Lost kingdom, I didn’t have the closest checkpoint to get to
peach. So I had to climb up to a tower-like structure to get to her.
That gave me moon 25.

(Along the way I got another moon.)

Done.

For Metro kingdom, peach was at the top of a building. That gave me moon
66.

(Along the way I saw a moon I could get kinda easily and got it.)

Done.

For Snow kingdom, I interrupted my search for peach when I noticed a
moon shard.

I googled “moon shards in snow kingdom”. The first result
(https://www.ign.com/wikis/super-mario-odyssey/Snow_Kingdom_Power_Moon_15_-_Moon_Shards_in_the_Snow)
was about moon 15. It shows all the locations for the other shards. (I
interrupted this to do the music challenge, which gave me a moon.) One
shard left to get and got it.

Finally the article says:

So I got that moon. I noticed another moon that seemed easy to get so I
got it.

Now back to finding peach.

Found her, which gave me moon 37.

Done.

For Seaside, peach easy to find again. That gave me moon 52.

Done.

For Luncheon kingdom, talking to peach gave me moon 56.

Done.

For Ruined kingdom, talking to peach gave me moon 5.

Done.

For Bowser’s kingdom, talking to peach gave me moon 44.

Done.

You're mistaken. Cloud Kingdom has 9 moons.

For Moon kingdom, as I was looking for peach I noticed a moon shard. So
I got the other 4 moon shards so I can get the moon for it. And I also
got the moon for talking to Peach (moon 26).

Before leaving the kingdom I noticed the taxi guy. So I spoke with him
and got a moon.

I also noticed the music challenge and got that done and got it’s
moon.

For Mushroom kingdom, as I was going to Peach, I spoke with a character
in the castle and got a moon called Touring with Princess Peach
(didn’t know that was gonna happen). And then I spoke with peach and
got moon 43.

Peach quest done. Next steps: back to trying to get moon 42 (which led
me to Peach’s quest).

I found the guy that I need to speak to, walked behind him as explained,
and spoke with him. Got moon 42.

Done.
