Hi all,
I am sending this email to multiple RV lists. I have heard from several guys on the “beer list” who claim (probably wrongly) that they did not receive the earlier notifications. In addition, if anyone getting this email is not currently on the beer list but would like to be, here is your chance. Send your email address to me (do not reply to al).
We are on for Monday, the 23rd of February. The weather looks seasonal. Sunny. High in the upper 50’s. Not perfect but very doable. Set up at 4:30 pm. Beer tasting at 5 PM. Pizza at 6 PM. I will order the pizza based on the number of people who sign up. I will pay for the pizza out of the D-28 party fund. There will be a donation bucket for your donations, suggesting $10 per person. If we come up short, the balance will come out of the party fund. Any overage will go back into the party fund. Any questions? BYO sodas, wine or any beverage that is not beer.
The rules. Bring beer to share. Your choice. The main rule is that your beer must be scored as good or better on Beer Advocate, beeradvocate.com. It would be helpful if you could print a snapshot of your beer review. I realize some beers will not have been reviewed on Beer Advocate. We will put the beers on display for tasting in light to dark order. Typically a six pack or 12 oz beers in sufficient if not a bit of overkill. Think of a tall boy four pack or two of the larger bottles. In any case the choice is yours.
I can tell you that I have secured three pint sized cans of one of the most iconic beers in the US. I have even included a photo. Can’t see it? You will have to come. This beer scored 100 on BA. In an effort to reduce duplicates, I would suggest you text or email me with your choice (hopefully before you buy it). I can help with that. But it is your choice.
