This strip was owned by the late Jim Friedline and his daughter (Karen Straleki) decided to develop it as an airpark instead of selling to developers. (Shade Tree Field, GA73)

If you didn't know Jim, he was a great guy and a prolific restorer, as well as the local guru for the Continental W670. I bought my Travel Air project from him and overhauled my W670 at his shop under his tutelage. He had all the fixtures, tooling, parts, and knowledge. He had done many of those engines over the years. He and Ron Alexander were old buddies.
