Here are some pics from class.  Check out how small the camshaft is for that much power.. The black is a nitride coating of some type.  The whole thing reminds me of an Offenhauser for it's high power to weight ratio yet it's very reliable.

The heads bolt up to the cylinders with no head gaskets..metal to metal seal.  And the cylinders are aluminum with no steel liner, just a ceramic coating. Just a few of the many different things..
