A call for your interest in the roles of contest chairs and masters of ceremonies
If you have the interest, enthusiasm and spark for the above role/roles, please send us your submissions by 30 December 2016. This deadline and the list of requirements for submission are firm. Any late or incomplete submissions will sadly not be entertained.
Submissions must include the following:
• Full Name
• Contact Details
• Club/Area/Division Details
• Toastmasters Profile
• DTAC Registration ID (To confirm that you are actually attending the event and have registered. If you haven’t registered so far, please register before you send us your submission).
• Audition Video (3-5 minutes) – High quality
- including the following for contest chairs:
a. Opening Remarks
b. Audience Briefing Remarks
c. Announcement of at least one contestant
d. Closing Remarks
- Including the following for masters of ceremonies:
a. Opening Remarks
b. 1 minute introduction of the Contest Chair (Any imaginary introduction will do)
c. Closing Remarks
Criteria for selection are:
• Must be a toastmaster in good standing
• Must have paid the DTAC registration fees, confirming attendance
• Relevant experience, preferably at the level of area and/or beyond
• Good articulation and voice clarity
• Should not be contesting in any category
• Must possess effective verbal skills and the ability to engage the crowd
• The audition video should reflect the same standard as you aspire to perform with at the DTAC 2017.
