Dear Customers:

We are planning a very quick routing change tonight around 8pm EST. We
anticipate it only taking a couple minutes. We will post when the
change is completed. We will have to work with our upstream provider
and simultaneously change our routing tables.

Problem:
Traffic between our subnets is not staying on the LAN (Local Area
Network) and instead going out our upstream connection and then right
back downstream. This is causing extra use of bandwidth and slower
network backups. If you have servers communicating with each other on
different subnets within our network, you will see up to a 50-fold
increase in speed!

Solution:
We're changing our routing tables to handle the local traffic better.
This is just a simple change in our static route tables in our router/
firewall and the ISP adding an entry in theirs. No server or site
configurations will need to be altered.

If you notice anything not working after we post the changes are
complete, please call us immediately.

Thanks,

Falcon Internet Support
