Hi,

Great job on the application! However, I would like to know if we can use the tablet for an input device. How do I configure my .key file to be able to control my MFDs from the tablet?

Thanks!

Other apps for MFD and panel should make you to assign a key file.
But Falcon BMS Misc can read your falcon BMS installation path, current key file name and call sign from the Windows registry.
And Falcon BMS Misc Consol (server application) has key entries for touch knobs.
Whenever you start server application, it check that your current key file has key entries or not.
If some entries not exist, server application will append these key entries to your current key file.

You can see these modification in your current key file with any text editor.
In C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\User\Config (probably), you can see *.key file and *.key.bak file.
*.key file is last modified file by server application.
*.key.bak is your pure original.
*.key.bak.bak is second modified file.
*.key.bak.bak.bak is third modified file and so on.

You can configure *.key file as your wish (probably).
If some entries not exist, server application will check and append.

Your problem is :
You can see the pages (briefing, map, MFD) with tablet.
BUT You cannot input knobs (MFD buttons and toggle switches) by touching with tablet.

Isn't it??

Please, explain more detail.

My joystick and devices are not same yours. So you cannot use my key file.
Can you email me with your key file? I shall check it.

That is correct. I can see, but the knobs do not work. Also I don't see that a .bak file is being created.
Here is the Key file.

Server application would append below message into your key file when your key file was modified.

#
# Appended by Falcon BMS Misc Consol - 2017-03-29 08:55:23
#

But there is no in your key file.

can you capture a balloon tip about IP, port, call sign, directory and key file? Please show me.

Attached file is for key entries. Sever application has this file inside.
You can copy and paste to your key file by hand.

Some more information:
I am using a T16000M with the TARGET software. I have OpenTrack for headtracking. I am ruining v. 1.4.1 of your server. All inputs from the game to the tablet works fine. However, noting goes from the tablet to the game.

1) I added the Falcon BMS Misc Consol entires at the end of my key file. -> No results
2) I added the ICP block of commands in the section "4.06     ICP" of my Key file -> No results
3) I changed the port number to see if that could help -> No results.

So I am left:
A) Maybe the hex keys ei: SimICPCom1 122 0 0x3B 0 0 0 1 "ICP: COM1 Button - Push" are maybe tied to the language of the machine and my English is in conflict with your Korean inputs
B) Maybe my route or windows in blocking the signal from the tablet
C) Maybe someting in my tablet or PC is interfering with the process.

Thanks for the help!

Hmm,
Briefing page needs file reading from Falcon BMS folder.
It means that server application can access and read files from your HDD.
But I can not see why your key file didn't modified.

Are you anxious about Korean input mechanism?
But i got programming information from mainly English sites and Q&A pages.
And hundred peoples in world are using my app, but do not mentioned your case.(Of course, I do not know whether they just did DELETE)

I found your key file has a mistake.
Please search word "SimRadar Cntr" and fix.
This word disturbed parsing your key file.

As i know, there is no "SimRadarCntr" callback.
Do you intend "SimRadarElevationCenter"?

I also found the issue, I was using a key file that was produced from the excel file (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00sUpUYh89s&t=339s).

So I changed the key file to the default full key profile and then all worked :)

Thx for all the feedback!
