with the Lord on May 8. Her Memorial Service will be held on
May 16 at 2:00PM in the Worship Center. A reception will
immediatly follow in the Chapel.

Special
Needs Support Group
May 20, 2012
Parents of children with
special needs are invited to attend our Special Needs Support
Group on May 20. We will meet in front of the Gym at 5:45PM
after dropping off kids for childcare, then walk over to
Starbucks in the Rancho Shopping Center across Foothill
Expressway. Join us as we meet and network with others dealing
with the unique challenges of parenting a child with special
needs, share experiences, and receive encouragement and
prayer. We will return to BCC by 7:15PM. Childcare for 0-12
will be provided and Special Needs Buddies are available upon
request, but you must RSVP ahead of time with Katie Licari:

Library
Renovation
We are in the process of closing the library so we can turn
that space into a multi-purpose room. Our deaconesses have
gone through everything and collected items that we, as a
church, want to keep. Now we want to open the library and its
current resources to you, to be available for anyone who wants
them. For the rest of May, you can come by the church during
office hours (Mon-Thur, 9-4PM) and during Sunday services to
see what would bless you or your family. For more information,
please call the church office.
Housing
Need
New to the area and new to our church, Jonathan Landen is
looking for a place to stay while he completes his summer
internship with Toyota in Mountain View. He is a Christian
young man and needs a room/couch/cot for 10 weeks, June 4 -
August 10. If you think you could help with this need, please
call the church office and talk to Sheri Lee.
Donations
Needed for Student Camp Scholarships
Oftentimes our experiences at church summer camps can be a
catalyst to a deeper relationship with the Lord. We want this
generation to make those connections as well, but we need to
help a few of them get there! We are collecting donations
toward student Summer Camp scholarships for middle school and
high school, so please consider giving to these ministries and
helping change the life of a teen this summer. Contact Steve

Battle of the Sexes
May 26, 2012
Calling all high
schoolers! Defend your gender's honor and take home the gold
on Saturday, May 26, 4:00-8:00PM at BCC. Participate in our
first ever Hunger Games Nerf Gun War in the Gym, followed by
video games, cake decorating, & pizza. The cost is
$10.

Putt Putt Golf
May 26, 2012
All middle schoolers are
invited to a day of putt putt golf and pizza on Saturday, May
26! We will meet at BCC at 2:45PM and head to Golfland in
Sunnyvale, then grab some pizza. We’ll return to BCC by

Human
Trafficking Awareness Night at Giants Game
June 8, 2012
Join the Giants as we
partner with the International Justice Mission in hopes of
raising awareness and bringing rescue to victims of slavery,
sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression.
Your special event ticket package includes a seat to the game
in one of the Human Trafficking Night sections, and a portion
of your special event ticket will be donated directly to IJM.
In addition, there will be a pre-game event with Giants
relief pitcher Jeremy Affeldt and a spokesperson from IJM.
Join us at 5:15PM to hear Jeremy speak on his desire to see an
end to modern day slavery and respond to God’s call to end
injustice everywhere. Jeremy will stay for a "meet and greet"
and autograph session. IJM Staff will be on site to share
front line stories of victim rescue and rehabilitation, as
well as ways you can get involved in your local communities.
Pre-game event begins at 5:15PM, the ballpark opens at
6:15PM, and the game starts at 7:15PM. Invite your family and
friends out to the ballgame and help IJM and the Giants work
towards a great cause!

ManDay
June 16, 2012
All men are invited to
join us for another ManDay on Saturday, June 16. We’ll begin
the morning with breakfast at 8:00AM followed by our speaker,
Clay Elliott. Clay is the Northern California Director of
Ministries with Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Then around
9:30 we’ll head out to the activity of your choice – golf,
hiking, biking, target shooting, etc. The cost is $10 per
person + any activity fees. Sign ups began May 13 by clicking

Bernice...@connectbcc.org. This is also a great
opportunity to bring a friend!

Ministries Summer Camps
Summer 2012
There's less than a month
left until our upcoming summer camps June 11-15. Our afternoon
Basketball Camp (for students entering grades 1-6 this fall)
is already full, and the wait list is growing! There's still
room in the morning Kids in MOTION Camp for grades 1-6 and
morning Basketball Camp for grades 7-12, but hurry before they

We also need volunteers to house overnight the coaches from
our Basketball Camps, June 9-16. Close to BCC is preferable.

This is where our Young Adults (20s-early 30s) meet to
study the Bible, pray for each other, and hang out! We meet
