My searches inside outlook normally incldue my current local exchange folders as well as the "My Vault" folders. Recently the searches stopped giving any results for anything in the vault. I have rebuilt the Windows Index several times, even stopped the service, cleared it and let it rebuild from scratch. I have fiddled with the what to search section several times trying a variety of folders. Nothing I've done has worked. I cannot get the Outlook search to give results from the vault folders. The "Search Vaults" web interface does function, but it is very kludgy to use compared to using Outlooks search utility. It slows me down considerably as I am constantly searching for things in my vault folders.
FWIW, in addition to that I had also removed the vault PST from the Account (File, Account Settings,Account Settings, Data Files, Select "Vault" and remove it. Restarted Outlook. Then I re-enabled via File, Enterprise Vault, Configure Vault Cache, Virtual Vault, Checked my Vault in the list (it was unchecked at that point).
I am facing a strange problem that, My archived emails are not opening from outlook. if I click on view the archived item. there is no response. when i click "search vaults" then also no response. Manullay archive, restore, Vault Cache sync are workign from outlook. If i check from the browser url, archive explorer and mails are opening without any errors.
Thank you for the solution. After installing the registry files, user are able to open archvied emails and archive explorer. But when the user try to restore it will give that "could not process the sleected items" reason: Enterprise vault is currently unavailable. try again later'"
Upgrading to version 19.08 of Forcepoint fixes the issue, there is a bug with versions 19.03v to 19.07v so if you have these in your environment then upgrade as soon as you can. For more info you can check this post which is what helped me: -outlook-crashing-across-entire-domain?page=4&paginati...
Currently having a very strange issue, At random when user clicks on Enterprise Vault Search with in outlook get an error "Your Search request failed. Wait and try again. If the problem presists, contact your Enterprise Vault Administrator" But at the same time if I use the Web browser it works fine. Even if I restart the services the Outlook Client error does not resolve. But after about 30 mins it starts working.
Does anyone has tried removing Enterprise Vault via commands mentioned below provide in a article (original link)? I am able to remove the Vault client software and cache & registry vault with below script but Vault folder "Vault - USER NAME" is still visible in outlook 2016 folder panel.
we are a large organization, connecting to archive mails via mobile is very common by us. we don't want to use imap as it is not a secure protocol (which I believe is the true reason why very few costumers use it). however outlook add-ins work with https which makes it a very comfortable and secure method to connect to the archive.
