Front Range League Track Meet

Hello team!

Attached you will find the heat sheets and schedule for the two-day league championship track meet at French Field in Fort Collins.  The meet begins at 4:00pm each day.  The weather will be much warmer than what we've been practicing in for the past week, so be prepared with sunscreen and plenty of water.  

As mentioned in practice, there will be NO TRANSPORTATION provided for this meet on either Thursday or Friday.  The interest/need was so limited and the hassle of changing days didn't help in securing a bus.  If you do need a ride, please reach out to a teammate to see if you can carpool.  If you can not find a ride on your own, you are expected to connect with a coach for assistance.  This is an important competition and not showing up if you are registered is not okay.  We are here to help you find a way to get to the meet safely!  It is YOUR responsibility to ask for help if needed.

You will be excused from classes at 1:30pm each day that you are competing.  Thursday is prelims and Friday is finals in several of the individual sprint events.  You are only excused on Friday if you are in a "final" event.  If you do make finals, I will add your name to the Friday list.  Please make sure you are at French Field 1-1.5 hours before your scheduled event.  For those competing at 4:00pm, you should try to get to the field by the latest 3:00pm.  

Fort Collins is a long ways away, so be prepared and pack everything!  Uniform, training shoes, competition spikes, snacks/dinner, water, electrolyte drink, sunscreen, layers of clothing, hat, blanket/chair to sit on at the team tent and anything else you will need to keep you going!  

Today's practice looks very solid for everyone I observed!  I'm looking forward to seeing all of you compete!  Let's show the northern schools what we're made of!  Go Knights!
