Final Week of Track - part 1

Hello team!

This email will be short and sweet!  The State entries will close at 8am tomorrow (Monday, 5/16).  After that point, the meet will be seeded and we will find out if any of our bubble events/athletes will make it into the state meet.  If someone in the top 18 decides not to compete in a particular event, then the next person gets in.  The ultimate goal is that there is never an open lane at the state meet.  So with all that being said, once the official heat sheets come out, I will send another email congratulating those that made it in, along with the schedule, procedures, what to expect, etc.

The only other thing I'll mention in this email is the SAVE THE DATE for our end of season celebration.  It was by far, a landslide of a win for the outdoor activity versus a banquet.  I will still have awards, kind words to say and stories of celebration...but we will do so outside being active.  

SAVE THE DATE for Sunday, May 29th!!  Time TBD!  This is for our current athletes, families, siblings, and coaches.  A fun, outdoor pentathlon type of event where we can be active, in a non-stressful, fun atmosphere!  I have a few amazing things planned already!  This time block will allow our state goers to focus, everyone to either graduate or finish their finals and we will hopefully catch most of you before you dash off for your summer vacation.  

Sleep well everyone and you'll be hearing from me tomorrow with much more information about the State Meet!  Practice as usual - 4:10pm at the track!!
