I've just put the 1998-2008 ITU data on mobile phone penetration in
all countries onto a Google spreadsheet and Google Motion Chart (Hans
Rosling/TED-type) to display data trends and dynamics over time.  Link

No doubt someone's already done this; I just couldn't find it via
search engine.

I am trying to access this sheet from Pakistan and I think its a
pretty large sheet and its slow to browse provided my
bandwidth/computer speed.

Is there an offline version that can be downloaded and browsed?
