
The Tri-State Transportation Campaign, in partnership with the City of Bridgeport and the Fairfield County Community Foundation, invite you to attend Sustainable Streets: Promoting Safety, Promoting Growth, on April 11th to discuss how to implement a complete streets vision in communities throughout Connecticut. Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch and ConnDOT Commissioner James Redeker will be featured speakers.
Jon Orcutt, Policy Director for New York City Department of Transportation, will be the keynote speaker. As Policy Director at NYCDOT, Mr. Orcutt has helped shape New York City into a more walkable and bikeable place. As NYCDOT Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan’s chief policy advisor, his efforts have helped implement pedestrian plazas in Times Square and elsewhere, built protected bike lanes throughout New York City and laid the groundwork for the upcoming launch of the United State’s largest ‘Bike Share’ program.

The featured speakers and keynote will be followed by a panel discussion made up of municipal planners and policymakers from communities along the shoreline.
