Another newspaper for editorial or maybe to do an article on Merritt Parkway trail would be the Wall Street Journal. During the past two or three months I have there have been a couple of articles on bicycling. The most recent one was a young CEO riding to work and or meetings.

In any meetings or letter to the editor, etc. we should pull in some stats about the obesity and diabetes epidemics when making all our great points.dave-------- Original Message --------

Game Plan -
These meeting are critical to the East Coast Greenway future in Connecticut. Even though this section may not be built in the near future (?), these meetings are critical.
From what I have heard - Fairfield is the most "opposed to the idea" town in Fairfield County. I am planning to attend the Fairfield meeting next Tuesday - If anyone wants to join me, I'm traveling in a van - room for 7 :-))))))))

Thanks, Rob.
Several of us, led by Deborah Lewis (a Norwalk resident, and so more likely to get printed) and including Ray Rauth, Franklin Bloomer, Josh Lecar, and Jerry Silber (all Fairfield Co residents), are preparing a reply to this editorial. A good first draft was written, and it should be finalized shortly. Also preparing ourselves in case similar editorials are printed in other Fairfield County papers.
The New Canaan public meeting was held earlier this evening. No reports yet... hope it went well!

Sorry if this is a duplicate posting, I think I goofed up my first attempt. If not disregard the last sentence and check out this article in the Norwalk Hour. Cheers, Turk
