Registration is open for the Spring 2012 season of Fairfax Little League Baseball.
· Fairfax Little League now offers baseball for boys and girls ages 4 to 18.
· Fairfax Little League includes players from the following High Schools: Robinson, Woodson, Fairfax, Lake Braddock, Paul VI and Oakton.

New in 2012 – “Big League” Baseball! :
· In 2012 we are expanding to include Big League baseball for players league age 17 and 18 years old.
· The Big League season does not start until mid-May immediately after the High School baseball season is over.
· The Fairfax Big League team will then play teams from VA, MD and maybe WVA from mid-May to late-June and then will go on to play in the District Tournament and hopefully on to States.
· Big League is designed to accommodate High School baseball players to allow them to extend their playing season on through June and get to play in Tournaments on into July.
Fairfax Little League will have at least 8 Junior, 3 Senior, and 1 Big League team for Spring 2012.
· Player Evaluations will be held at Fairfax High School in mid to late February.
· Teams will form in early March and practices will start as soon as the weather allows.
· Games will start on or about March 26th and run through the last week of school.
· All Star Tournament Team players will get to play on through June and into July.
League age = how old the player is on 30 April 2012
· “Juniors” is for players league age 13 and 14
· “Seniors” is for players league age 15 and 16
· “Big League” is for players league age 17 and 18

· Fairfax Little League Juniors have won the District 10 Spring Tournament Championship and gone on to play in the State Tournament the past 3 years in a row!
· Fairfax Little League Seniors have won the District 10 Spring Tournament Championship and gone on to play in the State Tournament the past 2 years in a row!
High School Baseball Players!
· Players that make their High School Baseball teams are highly encouraged to also sign up for Little League Baseball too.
· High School players can play Little League baseball either during or after the High School season.
· Usually the only High School players that play Little League Baseball during the High School season are those players that do not start nor get much playing time on their High School teams.
· High School Players that start and/or play allot on their High School team should not play Little League baseball until after their High School season is over to eliminate risk of conflict or injury.
· Games for All Star consideration do not start counting until after the High School season is over.

28-11-1 INDEPENDENT TEAM RULE-Student responsibility for sports participation.
During the sports season for the relevant sport, a student may, while a member of a school
squad or team engaged in interscholastic sports become a member of or participate with
an organized team in the same sport which is independent of the school's control so long
as such participation does not conflict with the scheduled activities of the school squad or
team. No school or student shall be declared ineligible for participation in interscholastic
sports because of participation by a student as a member of an organized team in the same
sport which is independent of the school's control during the sports season for the relevant
sport.
